A reefer container is a refrigeration unit specially designed for storing and transporting chilled and frozen products at any temperature level. Reefer containers help keep perishable products at a controlled temperature, ensuring they stay in optimal condition and preserving their original presentation, freshness and quality.

This project was for Colombia's National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, the state agency that needed a secure place with the right conditions to refrigerate samples related to ongoing cases in the country, following the expansion and restructuring of its headquarters.

The negotiation took about a month and resulted in a 7-month rental, with an option to extend, of two 40ft refrigerated containers, to store all the supplies while construction work was carried out at the facilities.

The main function of the refrigerated containers is to hold the temperature and thereby keep in optimal condition the material that serves as clues and evidence in important, ongoing cases, while keeping it available and accessible within the facilities. We hope to secure the extension and consolidate this state agency as one of the country's best customers.
