Celebrating 11 Years of Econtainers: Innovating and Growing Around the World
This year Econtainers celebrates another milestone: 11 years of history, innovation and expansion in the logistics and modular construction markets. Since its founding in 2013 with the opening of the plant in Bogotá, the company has established itself as a benchmark both nationally and internationally, led by President Jairo Valencia and CEO Andrés Valencia.
A journey of global expansion
In its early years, Econtainers focused on strengthening its presence in Colombia, expanding operations to key cities such as Cartagena, Medellín, Manizales and Cali. Every new opening represented a commitment to quality and sustainability, with a clear vision of building a value chain around the reuse of shipping containers, creating innovative solutions for the construction, energy and retail sectors.
Over the years the company has crossed borders, reaching strategic international markets. Today Econtainers operates in Mexico, the United States, Panama and Ecuador, consolidating its presence in Latin America and North America. This year, with great enthusiasm, we announced our next step towards the Middle East, with the opening of operations in the United Arab Emirates, reaffirming our global vision and our commitment to expansion.
Innovation and sustainability: our pillars
From the beginning, Econtainers has stood out for its focus on sustainable architecture and the container revolution in Colombia. We have integrated modular solutions built from shipping containers, mitigating the environmental impact of traditional construction. This approach has not only given our customers versatile, customized spaces; it has also let us take part in the shift towards more responsible and sustainable practices.
Logistics and transport: an end-to-end service
As we grew, we added new specialized areas such as Logistics and Transport, covering deliveries both nationally and internationally. Econtainers has developed a differentiated distribution network model that gives our customers better costs and more efficient logistics management. From the creation of Econtainers Reefer in 2017 to the expansion of our operations in the United States and the recent opening in Mexico, we have kept diversifying our services to meet the demands of a globalized world.
